Verbena

I have just bought( from the RHS) small verbena plants.
There are three in three separate three inch pots.
They didn’t come with any advice or planting instructions.
Can anyone help me to know how/ when to plant out please?
I’ve read that I can’t plant them out until May but I haven’t anywhere to keep them.
I’m a bit cross that RHS don’t send advice as other places do.

Do you know what type of verbena it is?
There are annual verbena and perennial verbena.

AFAIK RHS plant sales are fulfilled by Crocus

Depends where you're located but personally I plant out in April. They want a full sun position with free draining soil. If planting together then I would say leave a gap of around 25 - 30cm (assuming it's Verbena bonariensis). They do like to seed around so maybe next year you'll have even more Verbena.
  • Do you know which Verbena it is as there are several different ones ?
To an extent, it will depend upon your location /climate/weather as to when you can safely plant out in your garden.
Do you mean you have nowhere suitable indoors or just nowhere at all to keep them in a sheltered spot outside for a while longer before planting out ?  If that is the case, providing your ground isn't frozen and you prepare the planting site to suit , you could plant now ( and protect if the weather dictates )
