Moving Bulbs

Hi everyone! So I have recently undertaken the mammoth task of removing an artificial lawn and planting a clover lawn, see here: https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1079534/goodbye-astro-hello-clover-lawn-i-hope#latest

I previously built raised planters along the edges of the garden on top of the artificial lawn, but will now be removing these and creating actual beds.

I planted many bulbs in autumn including muscari, fritillaria, narcissus, crocus, tulips and alliums. I must have planted about 200+ bulbs of all different varieties and they are all shooting up now.

Can I move them or will I kill them off? What is the best way to do this as I really want to get rid of the raised beds and begin planting in the new beds (and pop my bulbs back in the ground)

Thanks!

If you can move them in big clumps/blocks of soil to avoid disturbing the roots, they'll be fine, just like planting out pot-grown bulbs from the shops.

Oh yes! I never thought of it like this.

    Thank you 😊
