Birds of Paradise Plant

Hey everyone!! I’ve had my Birds of Paradise plants for well over a year now and it’s been slowly dying. I first got it when I was away at school, and it was great!! When I came back home, most of the leaves died within the first month. Now, it’s down to its last leaf and I don’t know what to do. I’ve researched and tried everything. I want to save my plant and this is my last resort please help!!

At first, the leaves became a light brown. They shriveled up and dried up, so I pruned them. This last leaf has a brown spot. And is drooping a lot. I cleaned off and removed the dead roots and repotted. I let the soil dry out a bit in between waterings, but nothing has changed.

  • I looked at the forum you linked, but I’ve already taken all of those steps. I’d hate to give up on it :(

Can you show us some photos of your plant and tell us about where it lives, and what sort of place it lived in before …. what has changed for it?  Light? Temperature?
