Aloe Vera?

I have attached an image of what is possibly an Aloe Vera plant but my partner is doubtful : my partner would like to use the plant on her skin.

Is my partner correct to be doubtful?

    Mmm? I’m no expert but I believe true aloe Vera has plain leaves, there are many varieties of spotty ones but I don’t know if they have the same quality of sap for skin use.

    It is an Aloe but the leaves look too spiky to be A vera and the leaves of the latter are generally a bright green  :)

    Has assumed this was Aloe Vera,  and described as that when given to me. Quite similar but not clumping. Maybe a different variety.
