    I'd definitely not entertain that large one.
    If you want a pine, look at nurseries up here in Scotland. They grow like weeds, so you're more likely to get a healthy specimen.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • You would need a large area around either tree to allow for extensive tethering all the way around it to anchor them to protect them from wind rock, for several years.

    I wouldn't consider either of them. It would be years of intensive care to get the big one root firm and maybe it never would. I don't like the look of the trunk on the second.

  • Come on, people. We have moved on to the olive. Which looks nice but the trunk is a bit flimsy but lovely multistem otherwise.

    In that case i recommend speaking to Jason Hales at Villagio Verde. 

    Generalist nurseries tend to treat Olives like a premium product for some reason, and price them as such. 

    VV are specialist so offer very good value and free nationwide delivery...
