Polluted manure conern
Dear all
I would like to warn other gardeners about a potential problem with one brand of commercial horse manure. I purchased 4 bags of Woodland Horticulture Horse manure a few weeks ago and found it riddled with micro plastic and glass fragments. (See photos) I reported this to the company and received and apology and offer of refund but no explanation or any offer of compensation. I am an organic gardener and this product has polluted my garden. I now need to spend hours scraping the top surface of soil to try and clear the pollution. I don't know if this is a batch problem but I urge everyone to check before using this product on your gardens.

I think you're kidding yourself if you expect compensation @stevejgriffiths111514, and they've been decent enough to apologise and offer you a refund. None of that would 'pollute' a garden either, in the accepted meaning of that term. The sort of crap that's present in bagged compost is no different from that either
I worked with horses for decades. All sorts of stuff can end up in manure from stabled stock. If you've ever brushed up a stable yard, you'd understand that.

That's exactly the kind of response companies should have, and it would certainly encourage customers to use them.
