Snowdrop clumps

I am going to buy some snowdrops and have an idea of the number of clumps I want but not sure how many to plant in each clump. I don't want to wait too many years until they make an impact so want enough in each clump. Any pointers?

Put in 3 or 5  as clumps, planting the individual bulbs 3  to 5cm apart to allow spread.

When I split my own I tend to leave a few 3/4 together rather than separate them all, I feel it might help them survive a hot summer in my dry soil. This is just my idea, it works but so might other methods

I'm planting bunches of split bunches in aquatic baskets - about four plants to a basket.
  • Thanks all, order placed.
  • I bought 500 from Eurobulbs and planted them in clumps of 4-6:
