Hi I planted a bag of mixed bulbs in November and this has just popped its head up anyone  know whate it is. Hasn't got any leaves just like a bud on a stalk.

    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I agree with GardenerSuze.
    As they open out the little clasp of red around the bud turn into a little green ruff.
    Eranthis hyemalis lovely little things :)

    I planted aconites in the autumn and haven't seen anything yet, now I know what I'm looking for.
