Pear Midge & Nematodes

In the past 7 - 8 years I have barely had a single fruit off my pear tree due to pear midge.
I've tried everything under the sun to beat them but nothing has worked.
One thing I haven't tried, and never seen mentioned, is nematodes.
Has anybody tried this solution ?
Would these work ?  My tree is set into my lawn.

2 of mine had it last year, but I've not had it before.
This year I'm planning on spraying with pyrethrum as soon as the buds appear, then again just before flowers open and again after the flowers have dropped.
Don't want to spray when the flowers are open as it may harm bees.

A method I read somewhere last year..

Thanks Pete.  Good luck with the pyrethrum.  It didn't work for me.   But you have to get the timing just right.  If the buds are beginning to open its already too late.

    Cheers!
I'll see if there are other ideas that come along on this thread

Unopened pear blossom is where they lay their eggs so spray then with whatever is recommended.
