Cherry Tree Move....
Hello Everyone,
We are looking to move a Cherry Tree into a pot and was wondering if this is possible? The cherry tree is about 5ft tall and the trunk is about 3 inches in diameter. Would it be possible to move it into a pot and if yes, how large/deep would the pot need to be ?? Any experience/help/advice would be super appreciated
Many Thanks

It would be difficult to avoid all damage to the root ball and the tree could suffer as a result. In any case it would need a lot of care for the rest of its life as it would be utterly dependent on you for water and nutrients. If the tree really is in the wrong position it might be better just to start again, but it seems a shame if it has established well.
