  They look rather like passion fruit, or even tamarillo.  What country are you in?  What do the leaves look like? Could you cut one in half and show us the inside please?

  The tendrils look like passion flower too. Possibly not this particular variety, but similar:

  They could well be Passiflora  - as said above, similar to caerulea as that is the most commonly grown in gardens for both the flowers and the attractive ( but inedible) fruit but the fruit colour  is usually more orange when ripe than the yellow shown in your pic.
  Open one up as suggested and that should confirm whether Passiflora or not

  The leaves look right for Passiflora and the colour of the fruit does vary. I grew the P.caerulea in a previous garden, and the fruits did not all look the same.
