Hello @cpotts350 and welcome to the forum. I am sorry to read of your recent loss. I am not aware of plants called Wayne but I have just googled it and it came up with quite few....including Erigeron " Wayne Roderick". This is a fast growing evergreen perennial with grey/green leaves and masses of pretty daisy like flowers, flowering from May to September. We grow the Erigeron Karvinskianus ( Mexican Fleabane) ( it self seeds beautifully all over the place) and is a lovely plant during the summer and beyond. I also noticed ' Waynes Silver 'Californian Fuchsia with orange red flowers. Perennial also with grey white leaves forming a clump 2-3 feet wide. It apparently looks nice at the edge of a lawn ( or path) to soften the edges. If you have access to the internet and Google, you may other examples of plants with Wayne in the name. The sites normally give information about the type of soil, aspect, flowering etc with the plant information. Good luck.
