Pleased to hear you’re back home @rowlandscastle444 but sorry to hear you’re still getting pain in head. Has this just started since your operation? Take some comfort out of your new garden if you can, things are just beginning to get going and it’s lovely to see what survives the winter. Take care and don’t overdo things.
Yes, @Songbird-2 This pain has only started since my operation. Hospital said to give it three weeks from the op, to see if it improved. That's today, and it's only got worse. Wife is worried, but there's not much she can do. I'll be on the phone Monday morning!!
Hi @rowlandscastle444 good to see you. Hope you're not in too much discomfort. Will you join the new forum on GC There's lots of us over there. I'm finding it a bit difficult to find my way around, but it's early days. Take care.
I'll not be joining you on GC. My head can't cope with the look of it. But I will miss the daily Snoopy cartoon from @Ladybird4
Well, you just look after yourself @rowlandscastle444,it’s has been nice to see your posts and I wish you all the very best for the future. I sincerely hope that the medical profession can sort your issues out pronto and successfully and that you will be free from any further pain.
That's a shame @rowlandscastle444 But I know what you mean, not as easy to navigate as GW I echo everything that @Songbird-2 has said. Take care, hope all goes well and enjoy your new home and garden. Keep popping in if you can before GW closes for good.
You’ll be missed @rowlandscastle444. When your health has improved you may feel like taking the plunge. Until then , take very good care of yourself and the same goes for your wife too! Enjoy your garden and discovering all the new-to-you stuff there!
I will miss you all. You have all been so kind. I have the email addresses of some - and will use them from time to time.
I've not been on GW for that long, but it's a friendly place, in the main. My wife has said I'll miss it.
When I'm well enough, I intend to join local groups here in Thanet. Membership of the Birchington Heritage Trust I've already applied for, and indicated that if I'm well enough, I'll do stints as a volunteer in the local museum - NOT as one of the exhibits!! 😁 Birchington in Bloom is another group, that goes round the village, keeping all the little green spaces, full of colour. But, I need to be well for that.
The churches here all work well together. We've been to both the CofE churches, as well as meeting up with those from the Baptist and URC. My wife has already joined the local WI, and would like to help out at the local primary school.
I have plans for the garden - but they're on hold for now. The best I can do at the moment is snooze between meals, and eat between naps! The armchair in the conservatory is inviting, when the sun is shining. Oh yes, and I take the occasional walk around the garden. 😎
You take care of yourself @rowlandscastle444. I hope the headaches soon disappear and you start to feel much better very soon so that you can get into the garden of your new home and enjoy it. Joining those groups sounds a good plan.
Perhaps in a few months you might feel able to have a look at GC and maybe register. You’ll find a lot of us are there, some with the same user name, others of us with a different one as we had already joined in the past. I’m Blue arbour on there, but confess I rarely posted there, not because I didn’t like it, but rather feeling comfortable here as this site was so easy to follow.
However, it is a friendly site and the more I use it, the more I’ll get used to it.
So, rather than “goodbye”, I’ll say “au revoir” and hope to see you there some time in the future.
Making the most of a sunny day, at home. I'm amazed at the messages of concern from so many. THANK YOU!
No diagnosis for the cause of the ongoing head pain. Got to check in again next week, if no better. Ha!
Took a walk round the garden to enjoy the colour - and my first Red Admiral of the season!!
Edited to add: And the first ladybird!
I just thought I'd drop round to see how you are @rowlandscastle444 I'll email you some Snoopy cartoons now and again - thats a promise!
@Pauline 7, I did wonder who Little Weed was on GC and it brought a smile to my face as that was my college nickname - nothing to do with illegal substances I hasten to add but because my surname is Weedon and like T'Bird, I'm vertically challenged. Good excuse to find tall men in the SM to reach things off the top shelves for me.
One more Six Nations match to go - England v France. Ireland have won though. Sis texted me from Lyon and she has got the bug too. Shes not even sure she will be able to stay awake for the match!
