Crab apple tree

I want to put a. Crab apple tree in my garden so I can use it for wildlife birds etc. what size pot is bigger enough please. As I have no where to dig a hole for it.

     You’ll need a deep container about 50cm diameter. Make sure it has good drainage holes … and a loam-based compost  (not the multi-purpose type). I would use John Innes No 3 which is suitable for long-term planting. 

    Malus ‘Red Sentinal’ and Malus ‘Evereste’ are smaller trees and recommended for growing in pots.
