Those white asphodels grow in roadside ditches in Dordogne too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

@Busy-Lizzie I once went by train Lorient to Nante. The difference in the plants that grew in these two places was remarkable. No asphodels here sorry to say.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

I tend to accept any problems as part of the deal when we have such a wide range of plants available online.  My view is it is hard enough for small-scale sellers to make a living without having to refund and be down their postage and other costs.  I did make an exception this yr when T&M sent me plants that flowered magenta instead of pale blue and white, and they refunded without any quibble.  If it had just been one plant, I would have left it, but 5 got me annoyed ... especially as I would never buy anything that colour.  Mostly though, if something arrives in poor condition, I do my best with it and leave it at that.
