i would like to grow broad beans in a pot and would like advice on any dwarf varieties, when to plant how to grow/

We have grown Sutton dwarf broad beans successfully for some years. They are sown indoors and then planted out but not in containers. We sow in succession to further the harvest. Even though dwarf they sometimes need lifting up off the ground and tied. Our soil is so cold for so long that is why we sow indoors and then plant out. Usually sow in February. You will need to make sure that the pot is big enough as broad beans do have long roots and don't overcrowd them.
