Assistance identifying a potted plant

Hi All,

My grandparents have been growing a potted plant out on their balcony last year. It has been in bloom since May and I would like to buy a few this year. I was amazed to see that it was kept going until just after Christmas.

unfortunately they have lost the label, can anyone assist me with identifying it?

Still very new to flowers, I'm more of a vegetable person.

It looks a bit like an argyranthemum, a marguerite daisy  :)

Yes I think so too. I do know of a yellow one called A Jamaica Primrose but unsure of the full name of the pink one.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

I agree with the above. Possibly Argiranthemum Petite Pink.

  • Many thanks,

I have found them online and it really does look like Argyranthemum Grandaisy Pink. I'm just surprised that a tender plant was still producing flowers in late November.

Will order a few for the borders.

You can apparently grow cuttings and they will take and grow roots in water.
Depends if you wish to try or prefer to buy plants.

I know if I had a free source and a little space on a light windowsill, I would give it a go :)
It does depend where you live and soil , but they will take temperatures down to minus five, I think it is on the RHS site somewhere. I was looking at them the other day, and also a mulch would help.
But I think they said lower temps with wet soil could well finish them off.
