Orange fence!

Neighbour has put up new fencing which replaced a lovely brown fence panels that had been blown down by strong winds. The new fence is garish orange!  A real eyesore as it runs all along our garden edge.  The plan is to put shrubbery against it but the fence will still stick out bright, cheap orange fence .
What to do?

I expect it will age with time. Our new orange fence is now a muted silvery brown.

    Don’t worry … it’ll mellow. 😊

I don't think I would be allowed to do that. Both sides of fence belong to them.

You could always ask them for permission … but in my experience it’ll need doing gain and again … and it becomes more and more of a faff to do it as your plants grow. There’s a lot to be said for allowing a fence belonging to someone else to grow old gracefully and fade gently into the background. 😊

I had fencing replaced a few years ago and it was also bright orange.
But as Dove says above it'll soon mellow and fade as mine has over a couple of years.

Our trellis fencing was very orange when new but had silvered down completely within 18months. From memory the initial brightness faded fairly quickly over the first six months

Patience is needed . By the spring it will be much lighter in colour as the sunshine bleaches it . Most new fences are made from this wood panels now .

Assuming the orange fence is made of wood?
