I have a rose plant where the stems are growing too high.
It would be great if anyone knows whether it is possible to prune/ cut the stem below the forked branches or would that damage the plant? (see photos).
What sort of roses are they? Hybrid teas can be pruned really short, floribundas less short and about a third taken off shrub roses. However, if your shrub roses are too tall you can cut them shorter than that. "Peter Beales Classic Roses" cut some of them down to about a foot tall when they get too tall.
Your roses look quite tall. I would think that it would be fine to prune them below the forked branches.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
