Should I plant this out now

Hi I bought this honeysuckle maybe a couple of months ago and what with the frost and rain never got round to planting it.
It's been inside the house in the spare room since  I bought it and at first all the leaves fell off and I thought  it was a gonna. In the last couple  of weeks it's sprung back to life and started to flower.
Should I  plant it out now do you think or should I keep  it inside  till spring . I'm no expert  obviously but would think its a bit pot bound because  when I water it the water just runs straight  through.

It's too warm in the house which is why it has started to flower and would do better in a shed/garage near a window if you have one.

I would be inclined to plant it out when the forthcoming next storm is over and it isn't frosty, but be prepared for it to lose its leaves/flowers again.

I agree that it shouldn't be indoors. Most honeysuckles are pretty hardy. I would plant it as soon as you can but it will need hardening off. Put it outside in a sheltered place for at least a week.

  • OK thanks my garage hasn't got windows so it wouldn't get any light in there. If I plant it out do you reckon it will flower again in summer  if it makes it through the winter . Also will  the shock of going from warm to cold finish it off do you think.
Funny how you sort of grow attached to them 😂.
  • Posted before I saw your reply Busy. So harden it off in its pot first to give it best chance . Thanks.
  • It should still flower normally next year but I'd echo the above and put it somewhere sheltered outside. If it's going to get really frosty then you can pop it in the garage overnight and then bring it outside again in the morning. Most honeysuckles are very hardy.
