Replanting after digitalis

Last year I was late getting veg growing so used one of my raised beds for sowing foxgloves. These have now been moved. Will I need to change the soil in my raised bed before sowing veg this year, as digitalis is obviously a poison

  • There maybe seeds left in the soil so new plants will grow in the Spring. All parts of the foxglove are poisonous if eaten but whether the poison spreads into the soil I don't know. Somebody more knowledgeable will come up with an answer.
  • thank you. I will be mulching the soil as usual but good to know I won’t have to change it completely. I won’t have any seeds in it from the foxglove as they were replanted elsewhere once the were strong seedlings. I appreciate the help

I always leave a couple of foxgloves in the veg patch,  they attract the bees,  they then help pollinate the beans.  We’re still here.
