What's wrong with my ZZ Plant?

I bought my ZZ Plant in April 2022, and it seemed to do quite well in the corner, despite receiving little light. I think it even grew, as it seems taller than when I bought it. In the past few weeks, the leaves have started turning yellow, and my plant is dying. I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone help? I'm careful to avoid letting it stand in water when watering, and don't think I've been overwatering.

Maybe it's too dark? They do need *some* light! Also the darker their position, the less water they will need. If the compost is too moist for too long, their tubers will rot

I would remove the yellowing leaf at the base and repot the plant in a slightly larger pot, using fresh, well draining houseplant compost.  I only water mine about once a month, putting the pot on the draining board and watering until water runs out.  I don’t water again until the top 2cm of compost are completely dry.  I had mine in a dullish position initially but when I moved it closer to more light it sent up new leaves and expanded quite quickly.  It seems to do this annually now in November/December.
