  Same here,  I’ve seen magpies,  in the air,  ripping baby birds apart.  

  We have Sparrowhawks here.

  Goulson is an expert and following his advice is good science and the right way to go. He's definitely peer reviewed, professor of biology and specialising in ecology and entomology at Sussex University. This is the' bee bible':
