Looking for the perfect garden location for new wildlife TV series!

Hi everyone,

I'm a producer at a company in Bristol called Plimsoll Productions - we're currently working on a new series for the BBC called 'Secret Garden', all about the surprising and amazing wildlife that can be found in British gardens. Each episode will focus on one particular property, and we'll cover different types of garden and different parts of the country (e.g. city centre, Welsh woodland, Scottish highland).

We've been researching and location-finding for a couple of months and we now have a strong selection for most of our episodes. But what we are really missing is a garden in the north of England, preferably rural, with good regular wildlife and a scenic location. We would need to film in the garden with small crews of 1 - 2 people, for roughly 10 weeks spread over the course of a year, from spring 2024 - 2025.

I was wondering whether anybody on this forum might have a suitable garden and be interested in potentially being involved with our project?

We'd love to hear by email from anyone that might be interested. A brief description of the house and garden, any records or sightings of regular wildlife, a few photos, and if possible, the address (so we can look at it on google earth), is all extremely useful at this stage.

Our email address is [email protected]

Many thanks!

Alex Minton
