  • Many thanks.

    I my garden.

  • 👍 Great @LittleGreyRabbit
I will keep it in a pot.
After getting rid of the creeping cinquefoil plague 3 years ago,  I’m more than careful what I  plant.

    I my garden.

  • I'm guess to a certain extent we are lucky that our soil is reasonably poor as it means thugs don't tend to get very thuggish. It is probably the reason why tansy hasn't taken over or self seeded (we get very few self seeded plants apart from foxgloves). I grow it next to golden rod (the wild type) and that is equally well behaved, so perhaps I should have mentioned soil more deeply in my previous reply.
  • Tansy is the food plant of the very lovely and rare Tansy beetle. There’s loads near York. Not that I’m saying you could keep them on a small garden population, but it’s interesting to know! It’s an old bitter herb, used against internal worms.
  • @vikingwomenaregreat53470 Many thanks for your hint. 👍
Yes, I found Tansy on a page about old herbes and want to dig deeper into this topic. It’s most interesting what was used by our ancestors.
