White strings this morning all over garden and house. What could this be?

    I had loads of those frosted spiderwebs yesterday morning, including draped from the car wing mirrors. It had been cold, still and foggy the day before, then very cold and the sky cleared overnight (-5C when I went out at 10:30 to clear the car to go and get shopping for my parents). I guess that's just right for frost to form without breaking the webs.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
