    That's a wonderful scheme. Is it ever open to the public?

    What sort of depth is the substrate? I suppose there must be an irrigation system in place for that level of planting?

    My understanding is the communal gardens are accessed only by the residents, but I may be wrong as we are no longer custodians of the gardens as of last month so i'm not sure how they are managed. Certainly in the first year there was a lot of visiting parties, but this may have tailed off now. 

    The substrate varies from around 550mm up to 1100mm where some of the larger trees are situated.

    Irrigation is a RainBird drip line and tree ring emitter system.
