Presumably it's not appropriate for our climate? So many similar large chery heirloom varieties to pick from, is it worth looking out for this one instead?

Go to M&S. Buy a pack of heritage tomatoes. Pick one you like the taste of, squish it and save the seeds to sow. You don't even need to dry them off the time of year is right.
