I don’t like the look of these!

Hello me again.  Any ideas what these are?  🤔 I reckon if they’re growing now it can’t be good. Google search comes up with everything. 🫤

    Could be almost anything, but you're probably right.
    We can only see the seed leaves at present and all seed leaves look very similar.
    When they produce their true leaves, which come next we'll get a better idea.

    They are probably weed seedlings. I have hairy bitter cress now, usually comes up in spring.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Google is probably being honest  :D  At this stage they could be the seedlings of anything.  If you have had flowering plants nearby, it could be those but you won't know until you can at least see the true leaves.
    If you don't want the bother, whip them out now whilst they are easily lifted.
  • @Pete.8  I think I’ll cover them up to stop the growth they are everywhere!

     @philippasmith2  Thanks everyone x

    If you have a hoe it won't take long when they're at this stage - they barely have any roots - at the moment

  • @Pete.8 I was thinking if you hoe them won’t it bring more to the surface

    They look rather like honesty seedlings, but they could be any number of other things. Maybe leave a few until they've developed true leaves, if you're curious.
