I'm no fan of seeing trees removed but it looks like a timely intervention here.
I've never understood the allure of Monkey Puzzles in domestic gardens, they look utterly dreadful in anything but the largest estate, and even then the tree has to work extremely hard and catch me on a good day to win me over.
