Training a 6 to 7 foot Cotoneaster X watereri

in Plants
I would like to train a 6 to 7 foot barefooted whip (not feathered) as a weeping specimen. Is this possible and would using 'weights' be the usual method?
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus

To get a pendulous weeping tree you need to start with one...eg Cotoneaster x hybridus. or Cotoneaster x suecicus 'Juliette'..a variegated one
Any other one will always just want to grow up wards.
You would be fighting nature.
