Old Palettes

Hello

I’ve got old pallets on my newly acquired allotment.  I can’t see HT on it.  It’s all put together so tricky to see. But I’ve taken a picture to show hoping somebody knows what it is!

Also added a pic of my Apple tree branch does any one know what it is and if it’s ok?

I could spend all day at the allotment pottering about! 🤗

It looks like a bit of lichen on the tree. Completely harmless but it could indicate that the tree hasn't been growing very vigorously. I'm sure someone who grows apples will be along with some advice :)
I don't know about the pallet - the lettering is probably the company that it originally came from.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • Very clever looking up companies house thank you!  So can I presume it’s safe to use as a pallet.

Great news about the lichen. Many thanks! 😉
  • I’ve since managed to find an Epal euro pallet but it’s brand new fresh yellowish wood. And weighs a ton or to be correct 25 kilos. It will age in time.    It hasn’t got character like the old ones.  Then again using them together won’t look right.  So I’m going to try and get some more euro pallets.  I will keep the old ones too.
