Technical help needed re computer workings/problems. (pt 1)

Help needed from you clever technical folk please. Several questions to ask you but to make it easier for me I will post each question on a separate thread.

First question:- got an original photostick (says suitable for windows 7 and 8). Instructions state to plug into laptop and 'sign' saying GO will pop up, just push this and laptop will transfer pictures to  photostick. Clear so far? OK. Old laptop (good quality one), windows 7. Plug in photostick, up pops (alongside other bits of information not applicable) a small green folder type square but nothing else, no instructions, no click on GO.

What do I click to start the process? Please note that I am old and totally non techy, hence my problems, so any instructions in plain English please.

Grateful thanks.

First time I hear about this Photostick thingammy. From what I can see in reputable reviews it's a scam or a rip off! Best advice I can give is bin it and forget it.

Hello @AnnaB I had a quick look on the internet and found several short video clips which may be able to help you. This is one of them but there are lots so just click on this link and it will take you there.
To access more videos just type into your search engine (usually marked with a little magnifying glass at the top of any web page)

You can update the photostick software here if yours is not at the latest version which may help resolve your issue.
