Wood chip with leaf and compost

Hello lovelies

Would it be ok to mix the wood chip and leaf mole with compost to fill out the large dips at the allotment. As it will work out cheaper if I could. And as the holes are very deep maybe pebble stones right at the very bottom. Deepest hole is 13-15 inches.

Your help would be most appreciated

No don’t try that … just dig the plot over and level it out as you go. Much the easiest way to sort the plot out … and it’s what the plot needs.

Is this hole in a path or a bed ?
You can but it will break down like all organic matter and the hole will return in some way . I use loads of wood chip to mulch areas but does need topping up every year.  I wouldn't plant in deep woodchip supposedly robs nitrogen from the soil and I would assume will return it later when it breaks down.

Really puzzled by your comment  “…it will work out cheaper if I could…”

There is no need to buy anything to fill the holes with. From the photo on your other thread you have a whole allotment full of soil. Dig it over … the holes will level out.
