Catalpa bignonioides - Indian Bean Tree

I have a 10 yr. old Catalpa bignonioides - Indian Bean Tree and for the first time it flowered and has now set many seed pods.
They are still green at the moment - do I leave them on tree until ripe
as I would like to try to grow them.
Thanks

Usually you leave seeds until ripe. I haven't grown these trees from seed but my Indian Bean tree seeded itself, just 3 babies. They were in a flower border and I didn't want another tree so they went in the compost. I don't remove the pods, too many and too high up. They just fall off.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • OK Thanks I am just wondering if the seeds will ripen now, maybe leave them to do their own thing (like yours)
