What has happend to my Hylotelephium? Has gone 'splat'

    What wonderful colours, and compact too.
  • I'm always amazed that they manage to get sold when people can get them so easily for free. I splashed out on a Mojave Jewels Sapphire this year though and it's a real stunner, way better in person than in photos as it's got a sheen to the leaves that doesn't photograph well. The first thing I did was take a few pots of cuttings to give away to people. 

    Goodness, that looks lovely!  I've never grown a sedum, but I could be converted. 😁

    That's a very nice website @wild edges. I could be tempted by quite a few things!
    I did buy a nice dark leaved sedum some years ago, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the osurce of vine weevil that I now have here. The plot was pretty much bare before that, and all the plants I brought were fine. Such is life. 
    I think I'll be cutting back most of mine now. They've looked pretty sad and manky for a while, but they're all well frozen this morning, so no point in leaving them to rot back to the crowns. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
