Ctenanthe lubbersiana

Hi this plant is popular now even Lidl sell it it you have to be careful what you see. On having a leaf rolling issue soon turned into a plant examination as soil heaped up over the top of the pot. I tipped it out it and appeared to be four plants with roots quite small to the size of pot and amount soaking wet soil (I know from past experience that too much soil and too big a pot is not good). So I prised them apart. So what do? I once had bushy plant but I know for the long term that it would be in the plants interest to have 4 separate plants. So I gotta find very tiny pots to start with depending on size of root. These plants are really happy in tiny pots but get knocked over all time. Anyway I put plants back in pot for now but still doesn't resolve leaf issue I've had this once before and put the plant in a plastic box for about week and did the trick. But this time the soil was wet before (i read it could half a dozen things) so moved to a more shady area (which is easy in my house).

If it's growing habit is like it's relation Ctenanthe burle-marxii, it does produce multiple crowns/fans of leaves, and looks best (to me anyway) when the pot is fairly full. Easy to divide when you want more, just separate into clumps and repot.

I guess yours was a recent division with several pieces to a pot for a full look, but the roots hadn't filled out much yet. I think I'd have left it alone.
