The title got me googling ‘Panoramic soft landscaping’ which took me to a Leicestershire company. On their front page was a garden they’d done for James Maddison. When you’re paid £8 million a year you can push the boat out but it was stunning. OK, a bit footballers’ wives but it would do for me.

  • Hmm! Not a plant in sight.

  • It would seem that this product that comes on a roll is being used by Landscape gardeners instead of turf.

  • I hope they don’t use that plastic mesh that’s used in some turf rolls! 😨

  • @Dovefromabove A very valuable point! It would seem that all producers of turf used to create a wildflower spaces utilise a reinforcing structure to provide stability. The Turf Growers Association have set a deadline of 2025 to eliminate the use of plastics.
So although these kinds of area attract alot of wildlife plastic is seen as necessary for transportaion.
Back to the drawing board for me on this one. Does anyone know if plastic are used in Lawn Turf. I am having a new lawn next week!

Some turf growers use mesh, or used to. There was a thread on here maybe a couple of years ago about it. If I remember rightly, people said it was impossible to scarify without catching the mesh, as well as not being good for the environment.
