Where to buy sunflower seed hearts

I’ve always bought shelled sunflower seeds to feed garden birds from Wilkinsons. 1-2 kilo bags I think. Anyway I can no longer do that. I’m probably going to bulk buy on line so am looking for recommendations. Thanks.

  • Garden Wildlife Direct supplies them - various sizes - good delivery service.  I think Haiths also do them.
Could be worth checking them out and see what you think ?

I use Garden Wildlife direct, but I buy the big bags - 12.5kg. There's postage if you aren't spending over £25, so I often add a fat ball type product to avoid that if I don't need a seed mix as well.
I also buy them in Home Bargains - they usually have them at a reasonable price.

The small bags are expensive if the birds are eating them at the rate they do in my garden!

If you have a B&M nearby they sell them. We buy them for the birds in my MIL's garden and they are very popular.

I have used these people and they are very good. They will give you a quote for larger quantities.

Quite expensive at twice the price I pay, but it depends on what you want, if just a small amount.  I buy in bulk as it’s a lot cheaper.

We buy in bulk online and have it delivered for free from GardenBird. They are quick to respond and we've used them for a couple of years now.

  • I was concerned about getting hold of kibbled peanuts after Wilko closed (most places only do whole peanuts), but then found that a tiny pet shop in town which I'd never been inside before had them and they were slightly cheaper too. So if you have a pet shop give them a try.

From personal use I can vouch for https://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/.  I had cause to come across to the UK with my 4X4, so arranged to fill up the car with enough food to keep our birds happy for some time.  You must assess their prices etc. to make your own decision.  It was a few years ago now.
