Disposing of blighted soil

I won't re-use soil from blighted potato/tomato bags, but what to do with it?  We are renovating, and yet to lay grass.  Could the bags be emptied where the grass will eventually go? Would you add it to borders or somewhere else?

  • Yes, the blighted plants and fruit were burnt.

Can it be reused for any plant that is not edible or in the Solanum family? That would be my thoughts.

I would use it as mulch on the borders.

Any of the above, just not where you're going to grow potatoes/tomatoes next year.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • Great, thank you everyone  :)
