Plant identification help

What is this plant? We had this plant since spring, i think. Forgotten all about it till I noticed that fat buds have appeared all over the plant, for the first time and in this cold weather!

    I was going to say Senecio but I think you're more accurate there. I grew something similar a few years ago but gave it away in the end and I can't remember the right name for it now.
    Come back when it flowers. I suspect it will have bright orange pompoms but you never know.

    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
