I have read previous posts on the above and would like to hear from anyone who used Margaret Ibbs method. What would be the best time to use the soda crystals, would it be in dry or wet conditions, summer or winter. I have tried it and it on a small area a few weeks ago but it does not appear to have died. I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has had a positive result. It has taken over the drive around my house and has become slippy and dangerous, otherwise I would have left it alone. I do not use weedkiller perhaps it was in the chippings I put down a few years ago.

Weed killers will not kill any fungus as they have no roots.
The fungus does no harm except if you slip over on it!
It will get rid of weeds, whether permanently or not, I don’t know, I use it in the house for several things but never used it in the garden.
It’s perfectly fine in the septic drainage, ours works well and I’ve always used it.
