Tree ID . Ake Ake tree?

Hello!

Another tree ID for anybody who might be in the know. Is this an Ake Ake tree? I got this from the RHS plant ID app, but I'm not too sure (and not is it)

Many thanks !

Not heard of Ake ake tree.

    Found this on wiki.

"Akeake is the name of at least three New Zealand species of tree:

The species are small trees. The name goes back to pre-European times when it was used in different areas of New Zealand. In post-European times it is used most frequently, but not exclusively, for Dodonaea viscosa."

    While Olive trees are...

Quote wiki.... "Olea europaea, is an evergreen tree or shrub native to Mediterranean Europe, Asia, and Africa."

No that would be Olea europaea as Silver Surfer mentions. The Olearia traversii is originally from New Zealand so may have some similarities to the Ake Ake tree. I have some Olrearia traversii but have never seen an Ake Ake tree.

Plant ID apps can still be a hit and miss, esp if using only leaves and tree shape.

    I didn't have time earlier.
Apps CAN be good, other times hopelessly wrong/miles out.
Common names are also confusing especially to people who live elsewhere in the world  ....Latin names are the same all over the world.

Had a good look at Olearia traversii...I have only seen it once before. so do not know it well.
    It seems to fits.
    It is evergreen.
The leaves are opposite, shiny green on top and white beneath.
In summer it has white daisy like flowers

I have not seen it in flower but have pics of the leaves.
