They could be a variety of day lily. Do they have roots or bulbs?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • think they have bulbs. Can you help with identifying?
  • That is 4 separate plants the leaves go in like a fan at the bottom

I grow day lilies,  definitely not those,  not Crocosmia or Monbretia I don’t grow iris so could be those.

Iris have rhizomes - are they like a long solid tuber @andy.gaskell5571CvVv-CRR - a bit like a piece of ginger?
If so, they're probably Iris - sibirica or ensata rather than the bearded ones. The bearded ones usually have much heftier foliage than your picture shows.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Try self-seeded Carex.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.
