Weeding over winter, or not?

If dandelions were rare and difficult to grow, we'd all want them. 😁  How lovely, we would say, beautiful bright blooms, long flowering season, beneficial to wildlife, what's not to covert!

I do, all through the winter.  Over the course of the winter I mulch all of my beds, weeding beforehand as I go along.  I also remove all the fallen leaves from the beds (I know this is not strictly necessary, but I like to see what's going on and what shoots are poking through) and as I do so, I weed.

I find it therapeutic and leisurely, as there's never the same sense of urgency that you get in the growing season.  I also like to think it saves time in spring where there always seems to be so much to do.

I'm with borgadr on this one but it has to be a dry day when I feel in the mood.

I will do what I can, depending on how wet it is and whether any weeds have grown.

I find getting out in the garden makes me feel better, and does me good in winter, so I'll try to continue doing as much as I can whether that be weeding, mulching, pruning etc.
