Could you confirm the name of this plant?

Hi Everyone
I sell donated potted plants for charity. Someone donated this plant - or at least it's mum, 8 weeks ago. I took cuttings and realised they readily take root. Can anyone confirm the name? ( the plant finder on iphione says Spiderwort but it can get it wrong)Is it perennial? and is it indoors or outdoors?
TIA
Bry

It does look like Spiderwort to me (Tradescantia).

I agree, tradescantia, a plain green form, usually a house plant in the UK. I have it in a purple form and a pink and green stripe. In 2020 I used cuttings of the purple one in hanging baskets (because nowhere was open to buy plants) and they did so well I've done it every year since. If it's not too cold they re-grow the following year. As you've found, they root in very little time just in a jar of water so ideal for charity plant sales (until everyone who attends has got one!).
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
