Gardens of the year

Can anybody tell me what that beautiful multi lobed leaf plant is in the Gardens of the year 2023 article in Gardeners world this month? ( on page51, it’s on the left of the blue table and chairs) I’ve looked online to try and identify it without success!

I think it’s Shefflera taiwaniana, more details here:

    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

I love Shefflera there was one in a London garden [Gardeners World] last week I think.
If you cannot grow them outside it can also be a houseplant. Whether it is exactly the same plant not sure?
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

That one can be grown outdoors in warmer areas @GardenerSuze but will need winter protection. It is related to the houseplant variety and in the same family as Fatsia.

@Plantminded I had no idea it was related to Fatsia. If I could grow it I would the leaves would add interest to any garden.

When looking at the photos of gardens of the year I wonder if anyone uses the seats after dusk when all these flying bugs come out to play.
