Grown in a gutter

Is this more than a weed?  It's about 14 inches long

It's stonecrop.  Only a weed when it's growing where you don't want it.  I managed to identify it using Google Lens.  It's the most accurate plant identifying app I've found so far.

    Looks like a sedum.

Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Stonecrop is another name for sedum. It's a succulent type species that do well in dry conditions and have nice yellow flowers that pollinators like.
  • Thanks everyone.

I suppose it had the dry conditions during the summer but it is now wringing wet!

This is one of the Petrosedums, probably P. reflexum but they're hard to identify accurately out of flower. Petrosedum is in the same tribe as Sedum but it's a different genus.
I use this plant as mulch in with potted trees and things like that and it looks nice trailing over the edge of the pot. Well worth keeping in the garden as a pollinator friendly native that doesn't need watering.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
