Peonies

My 2 peonies are starting to sprout now instead of next spring, probably because of the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having. My concern is that when it does get cold or frosty, these shoots will die, but will the plant survive?

Established peonies can take anything the British weather can throw at it .

I have bought 4 small roots from Lidl today. I have potted them and will keep them under cover this winter and then plant out next spring.
