How to start a new discussion with the right category

Hello there,
As a new member in this forum and wish to share and gain some knowledge. I am looking forward to create my own discussion to resolve my query and gain some knowledge though I have taken part in various discussion which is definitely helped me a lot.

Also what category should be taken depends on what factors?

    There is a tremendous amount of overlap so it simply doesn’t matter. For example, asking about pruning an apple tree could be categorised as ‘tools and techniques’, ‘problem solving’, ‘plants’ or ‘fruit and veg’. It will be read wherever you put it. In essence there are only four categories: garden design, wildlife, all other gardening issues, and non gardening.
